Africa’s youth are full of energy, creativity, and ambition—but many face unemployment and limited economic opportunity. At SIYA (Syntropic Institute for Youthful Agripreneurs), we believe the solution lies right beneath our feet—in the soil. Through practical training, mentorship, and a regenerative farming model, SIYA is empowering young people to become organic agripreneurs who feed the continent while restoring its land.
Turning Unemployment into Opportunity
Across Africa, millions of young people are looking for meaningful work. Agriculture remains the continent’s largest employer, but traditional farming is often undervalued, underpaid, and unsustainable. That’s where syntropic agroforestry comes in. It’s a method of farming that works with nature, not against it—producing nutrient-rich food while healing degraded soil. For youth, it’s not just farming—it’s a movement.
SIYA equips young people with skills in syntropic farming, entrepreneurship, and digital tools to help them turn land into livelihood.
The SIYA Academy Model
Our approach begins with education. The SIYA Academy offers three progressive training levels:
-
Free Introductory Level – Open to all. Learners explore the basics of organic food, syntropic principles, and agribusiness.
-
Intermediate Level – Practical, hands-on training with a focus on crop planning, soil regeneration, and marketing.
-
Masterclass – A professional track for elite agripreneurs ready to launch scalable, profitable farm enterprises.
Each level is designed to not only teach but also transform. We don’t just create farmers—we nurture leaders and recruiters. SIYA-trained agripreneurs are required to mentor others and bring local farmers into our outgrower program.
Building a Network of Outgrowers
SIYA’s impact multiplies through its outgrower model. Each trained youth agripreneur recruits and trains smallholder farmers to become SIYA-certified producers of 100% organic food. These outgrowers are then integrated into the SIYA supply chain, delivering produce to our central pack house and into the hands of urban consumers.
This model creates a ripple effect: from one trained youth comes 5 to 10 trained farmers. Together, they supply fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and herbs in curated SIYA Bounty Baskets, serving households, hotels, and institutions.
From Soil to Supermarkets
Youth involved in SIYA aren’t just growing crops—they’re building businesses. With support from the platform, SIYA agripreneurs learn how to access markets, sell directly to consumers, and earn steady income. SIYA takes care of logistics, aggregation, and delivery—allowing young farmers to focus on what they do best: producing clean, healthy, organic food.
Our long-term vision includes franchising SIYA across African cities. SIYA Masterclass graduates will lead regional expansions, creating a continental wave of regenerative agribusiness leaders.
A Regenerative Future Led by Youth
By turning youth into agripreneurs, SIYA is addressing three challenges at once: unemployment, food insecurity, and land degradation. Our program is not just about farming—it’s about leadership, transformation, and legacy.
If you’re a young person ready to build a future from the ground up—or if you want to support this mission—now is the time to join the SIYA movement.
